I went to Cheyenne on my way back west and found this OLDS trumpet in a pawn shop serial number 255576. After a tour with the Arthur Blythe quartet, I was performing on the 5 octave Marimba. Think those olds models have the same valves and bottom covers? also interesting to find he was actually well regarded in the industry for his designs. where i could find a replacement valve and cover. since there is no longer an fa reynolds, esp in abilene, i have wondered about the horn and mfg and esp. i have an old f.a.reynolds medalist trumpet, marked made in Abilene, tx.
